a center for families
Welcome to The Pod
With the right kind of nurturing, we can find what we need to see ourselves and our families thrive.
At The Pod, our goal is to be that safe space that meets your family where it is at.
With parent groups that create space for tough conversations, playgroups designed to support your child’s development, expert-led workshops, and curated private support offerings, we aim to offer you and your family the resources you need to thrive in any stage of parenting.
Bravery and vulnerability. Joy and sadness. Excitement and exhaustion. It’s all welcome here.
You are welcome here.
What we offer…
-
These groups offer a supportive space for parents to connect, share experiences, and grow together. Led by a skilled facilitator, the sessions address a range of topics, including postpartum mood disorders, the trials of parenthood, and coping with loss.
-
Legendary child psychologist Jean Piaget once said, “play is the work of children.” In these groups, we emphasize this vital aspect of childhood. Each play pod is tailored to the specific needs of different developmental stages, guiding caregivers on how to engage in play that fosters optimal cognitive, emotional, and social growth in their children.
-
Education is empowerment. These specialized workshops cover a broad range of essential parenting topics, from newborn care and lactation support to best practices for fostering healthy development in school-aged children. Each session is led by an expert in their field, providing you with valuable knowledge and tools to support you on your parenting journey.

Sometimes, personalized and attentive support is essential. As a postpartum doula, Georgia is here to provide nurturing care for your family during those precious early months as you welcome a new baby into your home.
Meet Georgia
Child Life Specialist. Doula. Mom.
These are the titles that Georgia cherishes most.
With a passion for working with families during challenging times, Georgia is dedicated to helping them build the skills needed to grow stronger together. After more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector and children’s hospitals across the U.S., Georgia sought to create a private space where families could find tailored support.
At The Pod, Georgia aims to foster an environment of gentleness, nurturing, and growth for families of all needs. She holds a master’s degree from New York University and is a Certified Child Life Specialist, trained postpartum doula, certified yoga instructor, and grief support specialist. Her expertise is further enhanced by specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-informed care, and childhood trauma.
